Exhaust flap AR3 with vacuum unit

Adaptation U1 (open):

The flap is open when depressurized

Adaptation U2 (closed):

The flap is closed when depressurized

The selection of the depressurized state has an influence on the start and error behavior of the flap.

When the vehicle starts, a short time is required before the vacuum can be provided by the vehicle. Please select the state of the exhaust flaps as they should be positioned during vehicle start.

GENERAL

Our AR2 series exhaust flaps are available as standard in seven sizes from 51 to 89 mm inside diameter.

On the drive side, these can be operated either with a vacuum unit or an electric servomotor.

The exhaust flaps are designed for standard use in the middle and rear muffler area. Operating temperature: max. 350 °C (short-term).

MATERIAL

We only use stainless steel as the material for the base body

Specification 1.4301 or 1.4404 . This enables us to achieve high corrosion resistance against all influences, even at higher temperatures.

The material can be welded first class. All bearings are ceramic.

PRODUCTION

Our exhaust flaps are manufactured 100 percent in Germany on CNC lathes and milling machines.

All individual parts are assembled by hand and subjected to a functional test.

NOTES (see attachments)

Since an exhaust flap is a product with a wide range of possible applications, it is not possible for us to define the operational capability based on simple parameters. For this reason, the following information must be observed before using our exhaust flaps.

The usability must be extensively checked by the exhaust system manufacturer. As a matter of principle, we do not give any approval for applications that have not been proven to us by a defined test run. In the test run, the load must be proven over at least 20,000 kilometers actually driven. The tested exhaust flap must then be sent in for examination in order to apply for approval. In principle, we assume no liability should a flap mechanism fail or cause noise due to disregarding the instructions.

Maximum exhaust gas temperature: 350°C (short-term)

Maximum pressure: 0.5 bar (short term)
