Information on electrical and electronic equipment

1. We would like to point out to all owners of waste electrical and electronic equipment that they are legally obliged to collect this equipment separately from unsorted municipal waste. According to this, the disposal of old electrical and electronic equipment in the residual waste bin or the yellow bin is prohibited. The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin shown below and applied to electrical and electronic equipment also indicates the obligation to separate collection:

Elektrogesetz Mülleimer Anlage 3 ElektroG

2. We would like to point out to all owners of old electrical and electronic equipment that you are legally obliged to remove this old equipment, old batteries and old accumulators before handing them in, provided they are not surrounded by this old equipment.

3. We would like to point out to all end users of old electrical and electronic equipment that you are responsible for deleting personal data on the old equipment to be disposed of.

4.Owners of old devices can also hand them in within the framework of the options set up and available by public waste disposal authorities for the return or collection of old devices, so that proper disposal of the old devices is ensured. It may also be possible to hand in electrical and electronic equipment there for the purpose of reusing the equipment. You can obtain more detailed information on this from the respective collection or collection point.

Batteries:

Since our shipments may contain batteries and accumulators, we are obliged under the Battery Act (BattG) to point out the following to you: Batteries and accumulators may not be disposed of with household waste, but you are legally obliged to return used batteries and accumulators. Old batteries can contain harmful substances that can damage the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of properly. Batteries also contain important raw materials such as e.g. B. iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled. You can either send the batteries back to us after use or return them free of charge in the immediate vicinity (e.g. in stores or in municipal collection points or in our dispatch warehouse). The sale at sales outlets is limited to end users for the usual quantities and those old batteries that the distributor has or has had as new batteries in his range.

The sign with the crossed-out wheeled bin means that batteries and accumulators may not be disposed of with household waste. Under this sign you will also find the following symbols with the following meaning:

Cd: Battery contains cadmium

Hg: Battery contains mercury
